Scroll down to meet our lovely ladies in search of new placement

As our lives change and evolve, so do the lives of our dogs. We strive to give each and every individual the best possible lifestyle and environment that is available. To stay true to this goal, sometimes it means that certain individuals are meant for a different lifestyle and simply are not as comfortable as they could be in our home. These dogs have grown up as part of the family and we wish to give them everything they deserve in life.

Ginger

Ginger wants so bad to please her people and to offer her unconditional love.  Since Ginger is a good dog, she is sadly overlooked as she very rarely causes any issues.  Ginger is a sweet, loving, gentle and interactive lady.  She is a very happy, loving dog that is so appreciative of any bit of love you have to offer her.  Adventures, interactions, love and a bit of affection are all she is looking for.

She is almost always smiling and wagging her tail, ready to give anyone a loving cuddle. Ginger is an athletic lady and would do well learning agility or being with an active family. Ginger LOVES swimming and hiking adventures. Or showing her people how loving and affectionate she can be.

Ginger has had 1 litter of puppies and is an absolutely tremendous mom. She is a 3rd generation Ravine Acres dog, she's a pretty blue eyed red tri girl that is 17" tall and 28lbs. She is 2.5 years old.

Ginger has above average recall and is an easy to please dog.

Ginger is in search of her own family (with an adoption fee) or a co-own family (no adoption fee) that is able to offer her a loving home life, somewhere where she can have one on one with her people.

Please see our co-own page for more information on what this entails, and feel free to reach out via email at racene3@gmail.com. Ginger lives at our farm near Merville, BC.   Please see photos below.

obi

Obi is a VERY SMART dog that needs open spaces and a bit of freedom to move.  He LOVES swimming and hiking adventures.  Although he does enjoy coming indoors, he also really loves the outdoors and has been our primary yard guardian for about 9 months now.  He loves being outside.

Obi is 4 years old, neutered, microchipped and UTD on vaccinations.  He is a very handsome blue eyed black tri boy that is about 20" tall and 50lbs.

Obi gets along with all other animals.  He is very gentle and sensitive with the wee puppies, he socializes with our cat and loves to play with our other dogs.  He has a low herding need therefore I feel he will also do well on a farm with livestock.

Obi is a very protective dog and will require confident dog owners to maintain his happiness.  If he is shown fear or hesitation, Obi becomes very protective and will stand his ground.  He has an above average play drive and will run for a frisbee or run with the quad or dirt bike for hours if offered

Obi's best fit:
-a firm single man or woman...or a confident couple
-a confident family that is not afraid of dogs and able to assert dominance somewhat as Obi will take advantage of hesitation or people that are not confident around dogs.  He is afraid of some kids and can become reactive when he is pushed out of his comfort zone.  He however is great around kids that are confident and not noisy.

-He would really love to live in the country, he is an outdoor boy at heart.  If his new home is in the city however...things will work out if his new people have the opportunity to work from home (so can spend more time with him) and have many backcountry hikes and adventures planned.  He REALLY loves off leash backcountry adventures and has above average excellent recall.

He is an intimidating, excellent watch dog.   He is very good at keeping the deer and uninvited people out of our yard (we are in the country and sometimes have people stop in to snoop).  He will not let people out of their vehicle if he feels they may be a threat to his family.  When we are not home he is left out of kennel, he won't leave the yard.

For more information on this sweet boy, please email Racene @ ravineacres@gmail.com.  I am not in a rush for him to go, however I do have many dogs that need love and attention.  Obi would really appreciate a bit more 1 on 1 than we can offer him.  He was surrendered to us as his former family was not able to offer him the lifestyle that he needed.
