Ravine Acres started as a hobby kennel near Millet, AB in 2007. Initially we wanted to produce fantastic family pets...little did we know how much things would grow and change! Due to well rounded healthy genetics, fantastic puppy socialization program (thanks to the kids and their buddies), and some very active people in the dog community we quickly earned the a top spot in the dog show and therapy dog world. So much has changed and transformed along the way. We moved the entire kennel in 2017 to a spot north of Edmonton, and again in 2022 to our new farm near Merville on Vancouver Island.
Our dogs are not kennel dogs, but rather cherished family members. We are on a hobby farm that allows the dogs many outdoor adventures and lots of exploration. They take turns coming on daily adventures with us and thoroughly enjoy coming along on vacation when we go backcountry camping. They LOVE quading and camping. They enjoy loitering around our yard with us during the day, they are not stuck in a kennel like many breeding dogs may be. The social interaction helps build mentally healthy, very happy, loved dogs.
We do hip, elbow and patella xrays to prevent breeding any dogs with a pre-disposition to hip, elbow or patella misplacement.
